In Khandacakra Municipality of Kalikot, Nepal, traditional shamanic healing remains common, with many residents regularly consulting shamans. However, modernization, education, and global cultural exposure are reshaping these practices. Contemporary shamanism now blends traditional and modern therapeutic approaches, gaining acceptance especially among younger generations. The research suggests potential for integrating shamanic practices with modern healthcare for holistic well-being. Despite skepticism from some youth and competition from modern medicine, there is strong support for shamanism's continued relevance. The work contributes to understanding how traditional practices adapt to modern contexts and offers recommendations for sustaining them amid cultural change.
