“Con los ojos cerrados, abiertos hacia adentro”: Chamanismo y perspectivismo amerindio en Las tres mitades de Ino Moxo y otros brujos de la Amazonía de César Calvo

Hispania January 1, 2021 Cinthya Torres 1 citation

The shaman and ayahuasca in César Calvo Soriano's novel *Las tres mitades de Ino Moxo y otros brujos de la Amazonía* serve as tools for thinking and writing about the Amazon from alternative cultural paradigms. Reading the novel through Amerindian perspectivism, the analysis explores how it establishes different discursive relationships with reality, language, and the natural world. Calvo's ultimate goal is to invite readers to reconsider their usual understanding of the rainforest and open spaces of enunciation to other ways of apprehending and inhabiting the world.
