Abstract
El uso tradicional en el pasado de Amanita muscaria en Siberia, América y Europa Medieval es considerado, además del Psilocybe semilanceata en Europa medieval y el “ergot” en la época griega. Se discuten también petroglifos micológicos de Siberia y murales prehistóricos del Sahara y España. Las tradiciones y confusiones de las especies de Psilocybe en América prehispánica son revisadas. ¿Qué es el teonanácatl?. La escasa información etnomicológica que hay de África, Papúa Nueva Guinea y China. Finalmente se hace un análisis del uso tradicional de estos hongos en el presente.
