Health is not merely the absence of disease but a state of active involvement in the world, according to an enactivist and phenomenological perspective. The biomedical model is insufficient, and holistic or biopsychosocial approaches still fail to integrate biology, psychology, and culture. Drawing on Gadamer, Heidegger, Merleau-Ponty, and Ratcliffe, the author argues that health reveals itself as a condition enabling immersion in a shared world, not as a specific introspective feeling. Health is the potential for world discovery embedded in existential feelings, which arise through the living body and shape what matters to us.
Esoteriology should be understood as a specific form of spiritual knowledge that addresses inner, transformative dimensions of human cognition, distinct from classical epistemological models based on objectivity and empirical verification. This knowledge is participatory, symbolic, and initiatory, requiring not just intellectual comprehension but transformation of the knowing subject. The article situates esoteriology within postsecular culture and the Metamodern paradigm, where it mediates between rational reflection, symbolic imagination, intuitive insight, and existential experience. Esoteriology is not marginal or irrational but a historically rooted, methodologically complex field engaging with limits and possibilities of human knowledge. It offers alternative modes of knowing that complement scientific and rational paradigms, especially in contexts of existential uncertainty and collective trauma.
