Galactic transmissions from tantra bros, pu$$y priestesses, red-pilled starseeds, and ayahuasca girls: Decoding the pedagogies of conspiritual life coaching

During the COVID-19 pandemic, online wellness influencers known as 'conspiritual life coaches' blended conspiracy theories with spiritual messaging to promote products and treatments for spiritual distress. Based on netnographic research of prominent coaches including Aubrey Marcus, JP Sears, Teal Swan, and Kaia Ra, five pedagogical strategies were identified: focusing on bodily purity and body fascism, reinforcing gender binaries, exploiting client trauma, appropriating Indigeneity and perpetuating coloniality, and commercializing spirituality through 'enlightened' goods and services. These strategies collectively enact a curriculum of spiritual bypassing that drives conspiritual life coaching.
