Psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy is undergoing a scientifically grounded renaissance. Studies show therapeutic efficacy of substances such as psilocybin, LSD, and MDMA for various mental disorders, particularly treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, anxiety, and addiction. In Switzerland, this development holds a special position: as one of the few countries worldwide, it has for several years enabled regulated access to such procedures through approved individual case applications.
Since the 1990s, research into using psychedelics to treat psychological disorders has revived, with treatment results proving safe and effective, especially when combined with psychotherapy.
