La patrimonialización del uso de ayahuasca en Perú

This article examines the process of making ayahuasca a cultural heritage in Peru, focusing on its legal aspects and the surrounding debate. Drawing on existing scientific literature, it provides an overview of ayahuasca and its use by Indigenous peoples in South America. Through analysis of legal acts and secondary sources, it describes the origin of UNESCO's concept of intangible cultural heritage, which became a reference for Peru's Resolution No. 836/INC on the traditional use of ayahuasca. The final part reconstructs the debate over ayahuasca use and its heritagization, identifying key actors and their arguments.
