Neurophenomenology: A Perspective of Scientific Epistemology

Proceedings of the 2018 2nd International Conference on Management, Education and Social Science June 1, 2018 Jingzhu Zhang, Qiaohua Ren 2 citations

Neurophenomenology merges first-person phenomenological methods with third-person neuroscience techniques to address the hard problem of consciousness. From a scientific epistemology perspective, phenomenology adopts a Foundherentist standpoint to examine how integrating neuroscience and phenomenology reshapes scientific epistemology. The approach reveals that neurophenomenology carries constructivist implications and methodologically demonstrates the necessity of combining scientific rationality with introspection training in research.
