Mindfulness-based interventions for improving mental health of frontline healthcare professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic: a systematic review.

Systematic reviews June 20, 2024 Gemma Benavides-Gil, Fermín Martínez-zaragoza, Jordi Fernández-castro et al. 22 citations

A systematic review of 28 studies found that mindfulness-based interventions helped healthcare professionals working during the COVID-19 pandemic improve their stress, mindfulness, and mental well-being. No conclusive evidence emerged that these interventions reduced burnout, anxiety, depression, or improved sleep quality or resilience. The studies were of moderate methodological quality, and the authors note that more robust research is needed.
