Mindfulness Intervention for Improving Psychological Wellbeing Among Students During COVID-19 Pandemic: A Scoping Review.

Journal of multidisciplinary healthcare January 1, 2023 Iyus Yosep, Ai Mardhiyah, Aat Sriati 25 citations

A scoping review of 10 studies found that mindfulness interventions—including internet-based mindfulness, mindfulness-based intervention, and mindfulness-based stress reduction—can improve psychological well-being among students. The reviewed studies, mostly from the United States with sample sizes ranging from 20 to 166 students, suggest that mindfulness therapy, which involves focused meditation, may help address mental health problems such as stress, social anxiety, and depression that worsened during the COVID-19 pandemic. The authors recommend that health workers such as nurses and psychologists provide comprehensive therapy covering both physical and psychological aspects.
