Anxiety is a major mental health problem today. Anxiety disorders affect millions of people, and conventional treatments have limitations such as side effects and potential for dependence. This review examined the therapeutic potential of ayahuasca for treating anxiety disorders. The study analyzed and discussed the therapeutic potential of ayahuasca through a literature review with a systematic review focus, including clinical studies, systematic reviews, and observational studies on the anxiolytic and antidepressant effects of ayahuasca.
