Summary

AI-generated from the abstract

Orichalcum, traditionally regarded as a mythical metal, is reinterpreted as an ontological concept describing transitional states between matter, consciousness, and meaning formation. The article develops a symbolic-philosophical model integrating philosophy of myth, symbolic anthropology, and linguistic ontology. It analyzes the Hero–Moon–Consciousness triad as a system of recursive transformations, where the Hero acts as an operator of transition, the Moon as a structure of reflective memory, and Orichalcum as a mediating threshold between stability and dissolution. A central heuristic is the inversion principle HERO ↔ OREH, used to examine mythological reversal and emergence. The work contributes to discussions in philosophy of myth and symbolic systems theory by proposing a non-reductive model of meaning generation based on structural inversion and transitional ontology.

Abstract

This article proposes a symbolic-philosophical model of Orichalcum as an ontological concept describing transitional states between matter, consciousness, and meaning formation. Rather than treating orichalcum as a historical or material substance, the study interprets it as a structural metaphor for processes of transformation within mythological, linguistic, and philosophical systems. The research develops a comparative framework integrating philosophy of myth, symbolic anthropology, and linguistic ontology. Within this framework, the Hero–Moon–Consciousness triad is analyzed as a system of recursive transformations, in which the Hero functions as an operator of transition, the Moon as a structure of reflective memory, and Orichalcum as the mediating threshold condition between stability and dissolution. A central interpretative model is introduced: the inversion principle HERO ↔ OREH (phonosemantic symmetry between “hero” and “nut”), which is used as an analytical heuristic for examining structures of mythological reversal, containment, and emergence. The “nut” is understood as a formal model of enclosed potentiality, while heroic action corresponds to the unfolding of this enclosed structure into temporal manifestation. The Moon is conceptualized as a cosmic container of reflective stabilization (“ark-nut”), representing a closed yet resonant structure of temporal memory and cyclical reorganization of experience. Orichalcum is defined not as a substance but as a threshold operator that regulates transitions between form stability and symbolic dissolution. Methodologically, the study employs structural myth analysis and interpretative reconstruction of symbolic systems, focusing on relational transformations rather than empirical claims. The work contributes to contemporary discussions in philosophy of myth, symbolic systems theory, and linguistic metaphysics by proposing a non-reductive model of meaning generation based on structural inversion, resonance, and transitional ontology.
